PadelLabs

Privacy policy

Your game data is yours.

PadelLabs is designed local-first: your core game data lives on your device and the app works without an account. This policy explains what we process, why, who we share it with, and the rights you have. We do not sell personal data.

1. Who we are

PadelLabs (“we”, “us”) is the operator of the PadelLabs app and website and acts as the data controller for the processing described here. You can reach us any time at hello@padellabs.app. [Insert legal entity name and registered address before launch.]

2. Data we process

When you record a session, the app processes motion signals from your Apple Watch, the strokes our model derives from them, heart-rate, calories, distance and route, and the analytics and insights built from that. Most of this is created and stored on your device.

3. Apple Health

With your explicit permission, PadelLabs reads workouts, heart rate, sleep and activity from Apple Health to power readiness, recovery and load metrics, and writes your padel sessions back. This data is accessed on your device under Apple’s HealthKit rules and is never used for advertising. You can revoke access in the Health app at any time.

4. On-device vs cloud

By default your sessions stay on your device. Cloud sync, backup and account features are optional and tied to signing in or upgrading. If you enable them, the relevant session and profile data is stored with our hosting providers so it can sync across your devices. You control whether this is on.

5. Early-access waitlist

If you request early access, we store the email address you submit and the language you used, on the legal basis of your consent, so we can contact you about availability. We do not sell or share it, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.

6. Analytics and diagnostics

We collect product analytics and crash diagnostics to understand which features are used and to fix bugs, on the legal basis of our legitimate interest in improving the app. Analytics records what you do in the app — screens opened, features used, subscription steps — never your match data, contact details or Health data. You can turn it off at any time in Settings ▸ Preferences ▸ “Share usage analytics”; doing so stops collection and clears the identifiers held for it.

7. Service providers

We rely on a small number of processors who act on our instructions: Apple (App Store, HealthKit), Google (Firebase — authentication, database and file storage, analytics, crash reporting, remote configuration and push notifications), and RevenueCat (subscription management). Each only processes what is needed to provide their service, and none is permitted to use your data for their own purposes.

8. Cookies and the website

The app itself uses no cookies. On this website we use Google Analytics cookies to see which pages help people decide, and only after you accept them — nothing is set until you answer the banner. Declining leaves the site fully usable, and you can clear the choice by clearing this site’s data in your browser. We run no advertising or profiling cookies.

9. Data retention

On-device data remains until you delete it or remove the app. Cloud data is kept while your account is active and deleted within a reasonable period after you close your account or request erasure. Waitlist emails are kept until launch contact is complete or you ask us to remove them.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can request access to, correction, deletion, export (portability) of your data, and object to or restrict certain processing. Because most data is local, you can exercise many of these directly on your device; for anything held in the cloud, email hello@padellabs.app and we will respond within the timeframe the law requires.

11. Children, transfers and changes

PadelLabs is not intended for children under 16. Where data is processed outside your region, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers. We may update this policy; material changes will be announced in the app or on this page with a new date.

12. Contact

Questions or requests about privacy can be sent to hello@padellabs.app. If you are in the EU/EEA and are not satisfied, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
